The Blue Marble

The Blue Marble is a famous image taken in 1972 by the crew of the Apollo 17 spacecraft as they were travelling toward the Moon. The color image shows mostly Africa, and part of Asia, blue oceans, and clouds. The Earth is fully illuminated.
